Prime Contractor |
|

|
The
SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) multiple award contracts (MACs) were designed
by the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to provide professional support
services to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center
(NUWC) and the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) and their
subordinate divisions in seven
geographical zones. Under SeaPort-e task orders are competed by the
Warfare
Center
that has the requirement in the applicable zone of performance.
The
first SeaPort-e contracts were awarded in May 2004, and MRC
is proud to have been selected as one of the original prime
contractors for services in all 21 Statement of Work (SOW) functional
areas in
four zones under Contract N00178-04-D-4083; and as a subcontractor
on a number of other teams in all zones.
|
|
Since
2005, SeaPort-e has been expanded to add a 22nd functional area to the
SOW, Public Affairs and Multimedia Support, and more importantly, to
create a Navy Virtual SYSCOM
(VS) composed of the following: NAVSEA, the Naval Air Systems
Command (NAVAIR), Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), Space and
Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWARS), Naval Facilities
Engineering Command (NAVFAC), Military Sealift Command, Strategic
Systems Programs, Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), as well as the U.S.
|
|
Marine
Corps. These SeaPort-e ordering activities also were given authority
to obtain limited support from other DoD, non-DoD, or Joint agencies
for work that is integrally related to missions under the
contract.
As
part of the VS expansion process existing SeaPort-e prime contract
holders were offered the opportunity to add additional zones and/or
functional areas to their contracts. As a result, MRC now is qualified to provide services in ALL 22 SOW functional
areas in ALL 7 zones.
Since
the inception of SeaPort-e, MRC has been awarded over 30 task orders
for services at NAVSEA Newport and NAVSEA Keyport.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Although
MRC has current prime contractor experience supporting NAVSEA
Newport in 21 of the 22 SOW areas of SeaPort-e, and currently
provides services to NAVSEA Keyport in more than 10 SOW areas, we realize that a contract the size and scope of SeaPort-e requires
a team approach. During the 60 years that MRC has been a prime
contractor for the U.S. Navy, we have developed sound business
relationships with a number of other defense contractors supporting
NAVSEA, and we are pleased to offer customers the
services of these other outstanding firms as part of the
MRC’s SeaPort-e Team.
