Engineering and Technical Services

MRC provides professional engineering services spanning the entire life cycle of systems, equipment, and facilities. Our mechanical, electrical, chemical, and civil engineering services range from conceptual studies though operational support to disposal and demilitarization, and in particular include design and development of modifications to in-service systems/equipment for incorporation of product improvement changes, reliability improvement changes, and functional capability upgrades.

We offer multi-disciplined engineering services in the following areas:

  • Conceptualization, design, prototyping, testing, and development
  • Failure analysis and quality assurance
  • Environmental and facility design
  • Fielding, installation, and demilitarization.

Our engineers use an innovative top-down design approach in support of concept development, which provides the ability to examine both the functional requirements and the physical constraints that must be placed on the design, to model a solution, and to produce prototype components in a virtual environment through the use of design automation software. This design tool provides the engineer the ability to evaluate multiple solutions, conduct finite element analysis (FEA), and ensure interference issues are resolved during the concept development and evaluation phases of a development program, thereby streamlining the entire design process. Once acceptable results are achieved and the design is stable, the model file can be sent to a stereolithography lab or machine shop with computer aided manufacturing (CAM) capabilities, to quickly build prototype hardware for further testing.
