Most
of our positions must be filled quickly, and we may not get an opportunity
to post them on this web site. When a position becomes available, our
resume database is our first source for our recruitment efforts. For this
reason, we encourage you to submit your resume, even though you may not
see a requirement on our web site. Each resume is documented and reviewed
thoroughly for positions in the company for which you may be qualified.
Your resume is then forwarded to department heads for consideration when
openings occur.
The
nature of our work requires U.S. Citizenship, and eligibility for a
security clearance is required for most of our positions.

Many
factors will influence an individual's decision to join a company, and
having once joined, to remain a satisfied employee. Among these factors, group
benefits are an important consideration, since they reflect the
importance that a company places on its employees.
We
maintain a strong commitment to the dignity and value of each of our
employees. This philosophy becomes apparent from a review of the Benefits
Plan available to our employees (listed alphabetically):
- 401(k) Investment Plan - As McLaughlin Research grows and profits through
the successful performance of our employees, the company rewards
this performance by having each eligible employee share in the
profits of a successful business year. For those employees who
choose to participate in the 401(k) portion of our plan, MRC will
match 100% of the first 3% the employee contributes to their plan,
50% of the 4th %, and 50% of the 5th % the employee
contributes, starting the first quarter after hire. Unlike many
companies, where vesting is accomplished after a certain period of
time, all contributions placed in an employees account are
immediately vested. These contributions are deferred from income tax
until paid out. Eligible employees may contribute to the 401(k)
portion of the plan which allows employees to allocate up to 50% of
gross income (to IRS annual max) for placement in a variety of
investment accounts. Employees are eligible to start making
contributions upon hire, and are immediately 100% vested.
- Administrative Leave - In addition to vacation leave and holidays,
employees accrue up to two personal days per calendar year.
- Business Travel Insurance - We provide separate Accidental Death and
Dismemberment policies for employees while on company travel.
- Dental Plan - Eligible employees may select one of two
different dental plans. Employees become eligible to participate on
the 1st of the month following date of hire.
- Dependent Care Reimbursement Plan – this program will allow employees to deduct
their estimated day-care expenses for qualified dependents as
deferred income on a weekly basis, and be reimbursed on an on-going
basis throughout the plan year. This program is subject to IRS
rules. Employees benefit from the credit on an on-going basis,
rather than at the end of the tax year.
- Direct Deposit -
Convenient banking is available through our direct deposit program.
- Disability Plans - There are voluntary plans in place that can
provide employees with tax free income should they become disabled.
- Educational Assistance - As part of our active "invest in
employees" program, we reimburse 100% of tuition for
pre-approved courses taken at an accredited university for up to
$2000 per year. Bonuses are awarded to employees earning advanced
job-related degrees while employed. Seminars that will enhance
employee performance on the job are also offered.
- Employee Luncheons - In addition to regular communication memos, the
CEO and President of MRC hold monthly gatherings with
employees. These informal luncheons serve several
purposes. They give employees an opportunity to meet
co-workers assigned to different work sites; employees are given updates
on company business; and service awards are distributed and
achievements recognized. The company encourages questions,
feedback and suggestions from all employees.
- Funeral Leave -
MRC continues pay for up to three days due to a death in the
employee's immediate family.
- Holidays -
Employees are eligible for 10 paid holidays each calendar year.
There is no waiting period. Employees become eligible upon hire
date.
- Hospital Intensive Care (AFLAC) - This program is designed to provide funds to
help minimize financial impact with expenses associated with a stay
in intensive care, and pays an employee directly. Premiums and
benefits are pre-taxed.
- Jury Duty Paid Leave - We reimburse employees the difference between
their regular base pay and their jury duty pay for up to 10 working
days.
- Life Insurance/Accidental Death and Dismemberment - We offer a variety of life insurance/AD&D
programs to employees.
- Medical Health Plan - Depending on office location, one or more medical
plans are offered to each eligible employee. Employees and their
qualified dependents become eligible for participation on the 1st of
the month following hire date. View

Practices
- Medical
Reimbursement Plan
– This program will allow employees to make weekly, planned deferred
income deductions from their paycheck for non-reimbursable medical
expenses. This includes, but is not limited to co-pays for medical
services or prescriptions, eyeglass or contact lens expenses,
massage therapy, over the counter medications, and many other
services and equipment considered to be medically necessary. Under
restricted IRS rules, employees may not otherwise have been eligible
to claim these expenses as tax-free income unless the total dollar
value exceeded a certain percentage of their income.
- Military Training Paid Leave - We reimburse employees the difference between
their regular base pay and their military pay for up to 10 working
days each calendar year.
- Part-Time Benefits - Although many companies do not provide benefits
to employees who work less than a full-time schedule, McLaughlin
Research employees who work a reduced workweek are eligible for the
same benefits as full-time employees, calculated on a pro-rata
basis.
- Personal
Accident Expense Insurance (AFLAC)
– This program is designed to help cover the expenses associated
with accidental injury. The plan pays an employee directly,
regardless of any other insurance that he-she may have. This program
also provides for a wellness benefit. Premiums and benefits are
pre-taxed.
- Personal
Cancer Expense Protection Plan (AFLAC)
– This program is designed to help cover the expenses associated
with cancer and will provide payment directly to an employee to help
minimize the financial impact of cancer on his/her family. Premiums
and benefits are pre-taxed.
- Premium Reduction Plan - We provide a premium reduction plan that allows
employee contributions to the medical and dental plans to be made as
pre-tax payroll deductions at the employee's option.
- Profit
Sharing – As
McLaughlin Research grows and profits through the successful
performance of our employees, the company rewards this performance
by having each eligible employee share in the profits of a
successful business year. On a quarterly basis, MRC designates a
percentage of annual wages to be placed in the account for all
eligible employees without any contribution required on the part of
the employee. Unlike many companies, where vesting is accomplished
after a certain period of time, all contributions placed in an
employee’s account are immediately vested. Employees become eligible
in the first quarter after hire.
- Vacation
– Eligible employees accrue vacation on a weekly basis from the date
of hire at a rate of 10 days per year. This increases to 15 days
after the fifth anniversary, 20 days after the 15th anniversary, and
25 days after the 20th anniversary.
- Vision
Plan - MRC
offers a voluntary Vision Plan that provides glasses or contact
lenses.
- Worklife Programs - We know it's not always easy to leave your
"personal problems" at home. We make every effort to
provide employees with resources that will assist them with issues
that may be affecting them in their job.
