Research currently serves as the Configuration Manager for the
U.S. Navys worldwide inventory of submarine-launched
torpedo assets. Our CM specialists employ the uniquely
capable, sophisticated Configuration Management Information
System (CMIS) to handle the tens of thousands of documents
required for successful life cycle management of various
models of the Torpedo Mk 48 weapon system and all
associated test equipment. CMIS tracks all documentation
(e.g., drawings, parts lists, and specifications) and provides
management tools for the tracking of engineering change
proposals and funding required for each.
